Beskrivelse
Sportland Kõrvemaa Hike and Ski resort is located on the border of North-Kõrvemaa nature reserve, which covers an area of 12, 961 hectares. The distance to Estonia’s capital Tallinn is only 55 km. So it will take app. 45 minutes by car to come and visit us.
North-Kõrvemaa is an area full of small hills, forests, lakes and marshes. The nature here has been untouched for decades. During soviet times it was a restricted area where only the military had access. All of this means that the nature here is as wild as you can get.
Our hiking trails lead you from our resort to forests, marshes and numerous lakes. Around the resort there are cross-country skiing tracks with distances ranging from 1,5 km up to 24 km. For the fitter sports-lovers there is also a chance to ski on different terrain for 65 km. From 2007 we can also produce artificial snow, to guarantee our guests better quality tracks and a longer skiing season.
Sportland Kõrvemaa Hike and Ski resort is also the home for numerous sports events and competitions. The main event is Kõrvemaa Sports Series which consists of 4 different sports events – cross-country skiing, cross-country running, triathlon and cross-country cycling. In 2007, 3000 participants are expected to take part in the above mentioned sports series.
