Description
The University of Tartu Natural History Museum combines the zoology museum and geology museum, both of which have been operating for a long time, and the botanical and mycology museum that was created on the basis of plant and mushroom collections in 2007.
The Natural History Museum collects and preserves specimens from the world of plants, mushrooms and animals, and also rocks and fossils. The museum introduces the diversity of nature through exhibitions, especially the permanent ones.
The University of Tartu Natural History Museum has two permanent exhibitions – the geological and the zoological exhibitions. |
