Description
On March 10, 2001, exactly 37 years after movie theatre Kosmos opened its doors to the public, Coca-Cola Plaza, the first multiplex-cinema in Estonia was inaugurated - the opening film was "Cast Away", starring Tom Hanks and directed by Robert Zemeckis. The purpose and goal of Coca-Cola Plaza is to offer something for every cinemagoer any given day. The movie theatre has 11 screens with the total number of 1968 seats. During the first 7 years Coca-Cola has operated, there have been 6,2 million visitors.
While opened Coca-Cola Plaza was amongst the most modern multiplex-cinemas in Scandinavia. It is equipped with world class sound system (SDDS, DOLBY DIGITAL, DTS) and the most comfortable seats available. The angle of the halls and increased width between the rows guarantee that the cinema-goers will not be disturbed anymore if a person in front of them stands up in the middle of the movie. Similarily, you will not have to move when somebody wants to pass by in the middle of the screening.
For those who prefer to watch a movie in a more private and exclusive environment, we offer a chance to visit our A. Le Coq Suite which has 40 seats, a well-stocked bar and a million dollar view overlooking Tallinn's Old Town. It is possible to rent A. Le Coq Suite for birthdays, private screenings, presentations, conferences and other occasions.
Coca-Cola Plaza offers a whole lot more than just tickets to new films. In the lobby of the multiplex there are several places where you can eat and purchase a wide variety of refreshments. Those with empty stomachs can choose between restaurant BASIILIK, REVAL CAFE and SEOUL, the latter offering the exotic delicassies of Korean cuisine. SEOUL is open 24 hours a day.
In addition to that, the movie-goers can visit our Candy store which offers a wide selection of candy, nuts, dried fruit, popcorn and beverages - something for everybody.
Those who can't resist ice cream and delicious smoothies, can always head towards to the SMOOTHIE BAR, offering more tempting flavors of ice cream than you can ever taste as well as refreshing SMOOTHIE milk shakes. A wide variety of fresh pastry, salads, snacks and hot beverages is also offered.
When the movie-goers have gone through the ticket gate and reached the second floor of the multiplex, they can purchase popcorn, soft drinks and other refreshments and snacks from the concession stand.
But of course the main attraction of Coca-Cola Plaza has been, is and will always be wide variety of movies not only from the major studios of Hollywood but also from other parts of the world - the local movie fans have had the chance to enjoy the movies from Great Britain, Germany, France, Russia, Finland, Taiwan and - last but not least - Estonia. Let's hope that this list will keep growing.
